[Dispatch] Bastrop County Tower Testing

WHAT'S HAPPENING: Thursday, Oct 21, 2021 12:01 AM - 04:00 AM


  *   Acceptance testing (ATP) for Bastrop County.  This field functional test is conducted to ensure that the system meets the requirements as stated within the contract.

How does this affect users?


  *   Thursday Oct 21, 2021 12:01 AM to 04:00 AM


     *   There should be no impact to Bastrop County area subscribers, but the users should be aware that during this ATP, redundant links will be down as the sites are tested.  Reduction in availability of redundant links may cause the users to experience site outages in the Bastrop County radio coverage area.

Why are we doing this?


  *   This work is being performed to verify the Bastrop system meets the requirements.

What's required of me?

*    Prior to the start of this maintenance, you should advise your agency radio users that they may encounter problems communicating with dispatch and / or other radio users, or experience a Site Trunking event.

*    Dispatchers should be prepared to use backup portable radios.
