[Dispatch] Use of Short/Stubby Antennas

Please see the attached Field Service Bulletin regarding the use of "short" or "stubby" antennas on the APX and XTS series radios. This has the potential to diminish radio system coverage on these radios and could result in the loss of communication during an incident. Given this life safety concern, we have been told that if a radio goes to the radio shop with a stubby antenna, it will automatically be replaced with the standard 7 inch antenna.

Please check through your inventory and issued radios to ensure the 7 inch antenna is installed as outlined in the attached bulletin.
