[Dispatch] Internet Outage Sunday November 17, 2019

This outage would affect any station that is using the internet to connect back to the city.  This would include all ESD stations, AFD stations that are in trailer(s), toll booth or on non GATTN(48,49). Back-Up Station alerting should work.




WHAT'S HAPPENING For Met 3 Data Center DMZ Configuration and Testing on Sunday November 17th from 6 am to 2 pm.

The Data Center Relocation team will be continuing with configuration and testing of the new perimeter security and DMZ routing at Met 3 Data Center

How does this affect users?

While this work is being performed ALL USERS WILL EXPERIENCE:

An interruption internet services from 6 am to 6:30 am and 1:30 pm to 2 pm (applications that require internet connections will be affected) and availability of Austintexas.gov website

A loss of VPN services from 6 am to 6:30 am and 1:30 pm to 2 pm.
