Subject: Fire weather heads up today. Red Flag today
Fire Weather Heads up for today. Our NFDRS is Very High for the city and majority of the county and Extreme for the very NW corner. We will be under a red flag from 1300 until 1900.
Our fine Fuels are drying out due to the drought conditions. Our medium fuels are already available to burn which will allow grass fires to transition to more active brush fires. Any active brush fires should slow down with the drop in wind speeds this evening.
NFDRS predicted for today
