Emergency maintenance will performed on the GATRRS radio system Friday morning. Expected time window is 12:01 am to 04:00 am. The outage is expected to be less than five minutes once the maintenance event is started. Field radios will experience site trunking. This means the radio will lose communications with dispatch. Radios will communicate with other radios on the same tower site/coverage area. MDC's, cell phones, and pagers are not impacted by the maintenance and may be used to reach dispatch. If you are unable to reach dispatch on your current channel please change zones to ZONE H NPSAC.  These are conventional repeaters at various locations in Travis County. Your initial attempt to reach dispatch should be ZONE H 8CALL90, and then the ZONE H 8TAC that is closest to the approximate part of the county you are in by the list below.  Radio coverage from these resources will work best from the apparatus mobile radio.

H 8CALL90 - Zone H, Channel 1
H 8TAC91 -  Zone H, Channel 2 - North East
H 8TAC92 - Zone H, Channel 3 - South East
H 8TAC93 - Zone H, Channel 4 - South
H 8TAC94 - Zone H, Channel 5 - North West

Radios experiencing problems after the site-trunking event has ended should be turned off, then back on to force them to re-affiliate to the wide-area system.
