Subject: Red Flag day for Monday, Fire weather through Wed night
Wildland Folks,
It’s drying up out there and a cold front will be moving through tonight. Expect high winds in the morning, throughout the day, and into tomorrow night. Winds will continue into Tuesday.
Folks on the Slaughter lane Rx burn on Friday reported grasses and brush readily burning even though it appeared greened up.
Chief Linardos will make staffing suggestions at 0800 after determining how much precipitation we receive overnight. Staffing may need to be initiated earlier than normal if we do not have any wetting rains.
Tomorrow may see some active wildfire weather. Remember that any active fires in the afternoon may not slow down at sundown.
